Wedding of Stephanie and Paul
How did you find out about Sophia Grace Couture?
I had originally seen a dress on my Instagram for you page which was by Calla Blanche and Sophia Grace was one of the only stockists that sold this dress!
How would you describe your experience at Sophia Grace Couture?
Magical honestly magical! Every appointment I felt like I got to know the girls and they took the time to get to know me as well which meant they knew how to help me pick my veil shoes etc. I honestly couldn’t imagine my experience anywhere else!
Tell us about your dress and why you choose your particular gown
So originally, I had chosen a gorgeous gown however at my appointment being honest I had taken four bridesmaids with too many different opinions and rushed into choosing one. I left and messaged the girls, and they were honestly amazing and told me to bring one person to this time and they could help me choose my dream dress.
I came back in with my mum and still loved my dress however they had a PenLiv trunk show on which just happened to have the dress I had originally picked just bigger and better version with more lace and longer train and just the bit extra that I was looking for! This is exactly what I wanted, and the girls helped me determine what I was missing the first time. This is another reason why I am so glad to have had these girls by my side helping me as they really do know their job and I loved that considering I hadn’t picked anything like this before.
How did you meet? Are you happy to tell us about the proposal?
My and Paul have been together for 13 years so this was overdue LOL I always thought I would be girl who knew when the proposal would happen, and he really did surprise me at home with our kids and it was perfect and something so special to look back on.
What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?
I wanted the typical big fairytale wedding! My bouquet was so huge, and my decor was so dreamy, it was so modern and full and I was blown away with what Yvonne had done for me it was everything I envisioned and more. I would really recommend Yvonne @ thistle flowers as she seen my dream and made it come to life!
What made you decide upon your chosen venue?
We viewed quite a few venues and I was struggling to find a castle vibe but very modern and Dalmeny gave me all of this. Laura my wedding coordinator was incredible, and I couldn’t have done it without her! It will now always hold a special place in our hearts ♥️
What was the most memorable moment?
Oh, it’s so hard to choose!! Walking down the aisle is probably my most memorable moment! You do not get to do that over and over and all eyes on you which is so nerve wracking but so special seeing your new husband again after a night apart. I did however also love after my meal and before my reception we had CrookySax play and what a party we had before my reception even started! It was honestly just so good to see all my bridal party and guest have such a good time. Makes all the planning and effort so worthwhile seeing everyone have the time of their lives.
