Yes, we are by appointment only, this ensures that you will have a dedicated stylist who will guide and assist you throughout your dream dress appointment.

Our styling sessions vary in length dependant on appointment type.

Bridal – 90 minutes

Exclusively Yours – 2 hours

Evening and Prom – 60 minutes

Bridesmaid – 60 – 90 minutes (dependant on how many maids will be trying dresses on)

We do charge for our one-to-one styling appointments. Should you go ahead with your gown purchase at the time of your appointment this fee is deducted from the purchase price:

If your wish to cancel your appointment, at least 14 days notice is required for the booking fee to be refundable.

Our bridal gowns are between a size 6 –14 and most can be ordered up to a size 24. Prom, evening, and bridesmaid styles sizes 6 – 22

In our main Bridal Suite our collection range between £1,800 and £4,200

There is on-street parking outside the boutique, which is free and allows for a 90 minute stay. For longer stays, there is a Long Stay car park at the rear of the Tesco car park, behind customer parking.

If you are ordering a gown from our main bridal suites, we recommend a year to 18 months in advance is the best time to visit or when you are ready to commit to a dress.

Purchasing your wedding gown should be an experience that you can look back on for years to come, remembering how you felt when you stepped into your dream dress, that ‘Yes’ moment and celebrating at your appointment.

From the moment you arrive your Stylist will make you feel relaxed, ensure you have fun, and offer expert guidance throughout your appointment.

On the day of your appointment your Stylist will have a chat with you, listen to your vision, what you like and don’t like and then invite you to select several gowns from our collection to try, these might be dresses that you have viewed on our website or socials or just love the feel and look of when you visit. While trying on dresses your stylist will ask what you like or do not like about each gown, from this information, once you have tried on your favourite dresses, she will select others for you to try.

You might fall in love with a dress and do not want to take it off, that’s when you know you have found your dream dress. Some brides fall in love with two dresses and can’t decide, that’s ok, we suggest you try each dress on one after the other and perhaps style with accessories, just this little step can confirm which is the dress you will wear on your wedding day.

After you have chosen your dress it’s celebration all round, we do offer celebratory refreshments! All brides who say yes receive a gift bag to say thank you for becoming a Sophia Grace Couture bride.

We are used to viewing well known bridal TV programmes where a bride takes along all her entourage, in our experience taking too many people with you can be stressful and it is quite easy to become overwhelmed with too many opinions. Your entourage can make or break your experience therefore think of the people who are most likely to have your back and provide you with supportive feedback. Remember your wedding dress shopping experience is about you and you will be the one to look back in years to come at how amazing the gown that you chose to wear on your wedding day made you feel.

For bridal appointments we recommend that you bring no more than four people with you to our main Bridal Suites and three to our Sample Suite.

If you feel that you must invite an entourage at your bridal appointment, we do offer a complimentary Dress Reveal appointment to every one of our brides once you have purchased your gown. At a Dress Reveal appointment you can show your entourage the gown which you have purchased and have chosen to wear on your wedding day.

We are sure you cannot wait to try on wedding dresses, it is super exciting, and we cannot wait to show you our collection. Here are our top tips before you visit.

Have a look at our website or social media pages, if there are gowns that you would like to try then send us names or pictures prior to your appointment or show your Stylist on the day.

Budget, once you have tried on several of our gowns your Stylist will then select additional dresses for you to try once they know what you like and don’t, we will always stay within your budget so if this has changed since the time you have booked your appointment to the day of your visit, please do let your Stylist know.

All our samples in the boutique are in pristine condition therefore we do ask that you don’t wear fake tan as this can mark our gowns.

If you have shoes that you are 100% going to wear on your wedding day, bring these with you however this is not essential.

Wear the type of pants that you might wear on your wedding day, yes, we all want to feel glam and have amazing underwear on our big day, the reality is most fitted dresses are more suited to nude seamless underwear. Most wedding gowns you won’t wear a bra with therefore it is not essential that you bring a strapless or nude coloured bra with you, our dresses have built in cups therefore if you are comfortable not wearing a bra to try on dresses then we are too.

We are more than happy for you to take pictures in and around the boutique however we do not allow photographs to be taken of brides in our samples. You can if you wish FaceTime other members of your party during your appointment. Once you have found your dream dress and would like to have photographs of you in your dream dress then we can take these for you.

When booking your appointment please do let us know if you have friends or family who have purchased a gown with us, we will then remove this gown from our bridal suites prior to your appointment to ensure that you don’t have the same gown.

Gowns once ordered from a designer take up to nine months to arrive with us, some designers offer a rush order service which they do charge for. If you are short on time don’t worry our Sample Suite is where you will find designer dresses which can be purchased and taken away on the day of your appointment.

Yes, we request 50% deposit at the time of ordering and the balance is not due until your gown arrives with us. For Sample Sale gowns as you will be taking your gown away with you on the day then the full amount is due at that time.

This is such an exciting time, and we cannot wait to see you in your very own dream dress. When you gown arrives, we will get in touch and invite you to visit within two weeks of your gown arriving.

All Sophia Grace Couture brides are offered a complimentary 60-minute styling appointment therefore if you would like to try shoes, veils or any other accessories while wearing your dream dress this is the perfect time to do so.

Our gowns are handmade and ordered especially for you therefore we do not offer refunds or exchanges. Our Sample Sale gowns are sold as seen and once they leave our premises cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Of course, we have a dedicated Styling Suite where you can even bring your gown with you to try on our gorgeous collection of shoes, veils, jewellery and so much more.
