Wedding of Jilly and Tom

How did you find out about Sophia Grace Couture?

I found about about SGC as a friend of mine came to you to buy her wedding dress and had said that SGC was the place to go! She also said the experience from start to finish was spectacular.

How would you describe your experience at Sophia Grace Couture?

Relaxed, professional, exciting and a all round an enjoyable experience.

Tell us about your dress and why you choose your particular gown

I had a thought in mind about dresses that I liked. However, when trying them on it was clear that they were not “the one” Hannah asked if she could pick me a few out and the first one she picked ended up just being perfect in every way. Suited my body shape suited me as a person and was everything I could imagine and more.

How did you meet?  Are you happy to tell us about the proposal?

Tom and I met at a rugby festival 5 years ago. I knew who he was however had never met him properly in person. Things blossomed we bought our first home in December 2022 and got engaged that Christmas! 18 months later we walked down that aisle!

What was your inspiration for your wedding?  Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

Colour pallet was sage green and pastel colours. I wanted rustic and relaxed. We sure did that! Banquet style tables fresh bud vases on the tables and sharing platters!

What made you decide upon your chosen venue?

The fact we could personalise our tables and function room. The fact people could stay over and we could also use outside for the reception. It was small and someone’s home which made it even more special.

Tell us about your wedding

From start to finish it was the best day of my life. Getting ready at home with my nearest and dearest. The church was everything I had imagined and more our minister, our ceremony was personal and memorable and talked about all the important things in marriage.

What was the most memorable moment?

“You may kiss the bride” saying I do and the exchange of rings. Walking down the aisle with my dad and walking back up the aisle with my new husband was everything and more. I had also wrote a poem which had come to everyone’s surprise. Was a lovely touch after the meal.

Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Sophia Grace Couture?
