How did you find out about Sophia Grace Couture?

I found out about Sophia Grace through one of my lovely clients who also purchased her dress from them.

How would you describe your experience at Sophia Grace Couture?

My experience with Sophia Grace was perfection, only way to explain it. From the minute we all walked in, their service, attention to detail, friendly faces, everything makes you feel so special. The help Hannah gave was exactly what I needed, not too pushy but professional as a stylist. She literally ended up putting me in my dream dress.

Tell us about your dress and why you choose your particular gown

I ended up choosing a completely different style than what I thought, I thought I wanted a plainer style but ended up with the total opposite which I thought was so exciting, I think that happens a lot! My dress ended up being more of a statement piece and I am still so so in love with it and look at pictures of it every day.. I got married 2 weeks ago haha. The over skirt was just the most amazing add on and gave me 2 looks for my day! I have had so many compliments - I felt like a princess, but it was so practical too! And I got a more figure hugging fit when my skirt came off after our dinner.

How did you meet? Are you happy to tell us about the proposal?

Me and my now husband!!! Met years and years ago, we went to the same schools but are 4 years apart, we always were in passing groups but were always in separate relationships.

Right before the first Covid lockdown we were both single and started dating & when lockdown got announced, we decided to bubble together in my flat and the rest is history.

Dale proposed at the Loch Ness viewing point in inverness November 2021 & managed to film it on his drone and our dog Joey was with us it was perfect, a day I will never forget!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

Our wedding inspiration was just based off our venue to be honest, Carberry is breathtaking and we didn’t want to add too much to it as it is perfect on its own so I just wanted soft colours, whites, pinks to compliment the month of June and I just allowed the professionals to do what they thought looked best & they certainly pulled it off!

What made you decide upon your chosen venue?
Carberry Tower mansion and estate. the minute we walked in and met the staff we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. We cannot begin to explain how unbelievable our venue was, honestly, I could go on and on and on about every small, perfect detail but I would be sitting here typing for hours. It is just a fairy tale venue!

Tell us about your wedding

Our wedding had 82 of our closest friends and family, we chose an earlier ceremony at 1. 30.. I was BANG on time.. walking down at 1.30 on the dot, my brother-in-law played the guitar as I walked down the aisle.

Our whole wedding stayed at our venue the night of the wedding & it’s a day I wish never had to end. From start to finish I didn’t stop smiling, my cheeks were so sore!! We had the most delicious wedding breakfast, outdoor games, fresh baking, sweety kart, mr and mrs cocktails, drinks reception with sliders in the rose gardens, a band that had a saxophone! best band ever / the plectrums! I danced for 4 hours straight and was limping for 4 days after haha.

Just a perfect day.

What was the most memorable moment?

Memorable moment… it’s hard to pick one!

Our aisle dip after our ceremony - Our confetti line - Doing our photo dash to all our dinner tables (highly recommend) - Singing on stage with my band haha

Future brides… enjoy choosing your dress! Follow your heart with it, listen to the girls at Sophia Grace they are experts! Try on all the styles, even the ones you think you don’t want / you will be surprised!!! Only take people you know love you and know what makes you happy.
