Wedding of Abbie and Dale

How did you find out about Sophia Grace Couture?

Instagram - my explore page was full of wedding inspo and I came across your beautiful store.

How would you describe your experience at Sophia Grace Couture?

10/10 - Hannah was so welcoming from the minute we got there. There were no other customers in, having 1 to 1 time with your stylist created a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Tell us about your dress and why you choose your particular gown

I had explained to Hannah what I was looking for in a dress, I picked a few to try on which were all so beautiful but I felt each dress was missing something for my taste.

Hannah then picked a dress which she felt ticked all the boxes which was Rosalie by Enzoani and wow it sure did. I fell in love with Rosalie by Enzoani - the detail on this dress is just incredible and had long sleeves that was my biggest need in my dress.

How did you meet?  Are you happy to tell us about the proposal?

Dale & I met at primary school and went all through high school together and were good friends. We met again on a night out in our home town in February and dale put in 7 months of hard graft after that night and I eventually said yes to being his girlfriend in the September!

Dale proposed on our 10 year anniversary at the top of the shard in London. I definitely did not see it coming, and still wonder how he managed to get it past me haha!

What was your inspiration for your wedding?  Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

A romantic relaxed atmosphere, keeping the decor simple and timeless.

We kept to golds, creams and soft pinks for colour palette.

What made you decide upon your chosen venue?

I’ve always loved Glenbervie House, the decor, the grounds, the exclusive use, everything it had to offer was what we were looking for. The staff were just amazing as well, we felt in safe hands and everything paid off as our day was amazing.

Tell us about your wedding

It was the most amazing day from start to finish. We had an outdoor ceremony with over 100 family and friends. We had Lindy Irvine (celebrant) who made our ceremony so personal. I walked down the aisle to the amazing Geo Gospel choir singing endless love, the choir sang through out the day keeping our guests entertained they were just amazing! The dancing continued in to the night with our DJ and sax player who definitely had Glenbervie rocking.

What was the most memorable moment?

Having our 2 beautiful children Elliot and Claudia there, we included them in our ceremony and made a promise not just to us but to them too. Also just having our closest family and friends be part of such a special day.

Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Sophia Grace Couture?

Go with an open mind and trust how you feel in your chosen dress. It’s nice to get others opinions on your dress but it all comes down to how it makes you feel.
