How did you find out about Sophia Grace Couture?

Seen a Dress online that the designer was carried by Sophia Grace therefore made an appointment.

How would you describe your experience at Sophia Grace Couture?

My experience at Sophia Grace was second to none, I had visited bridal stores before Sophia Grace and none compared to the experience I got at Sophia grace. It was so friendly and welcoming. I tried on every dress and style no matter the shape or size and wasn’t ever told it wouldn’t suit/fit me (something that happened at other stores). Hannah pinned the dresses to perfection so that even if they didn’t fit they still looked perfect and I could properly see how they would look on my wedding day it was incredible. I felt so comfortable and it was the first time I truly enjoyed trying on dresses.

Tell us about your dress and why you choose your particular gown

My dress was an allure gown that was fitted at the top and went out at my waist with a huge train it was pretty plain with no lace or detailing (which was exactly what I wanted) but I had a tiny beaded belt added in the middle to add a little bit of sparkle.

How did you meet? Are you happy to tell us about the proposal?

We met when Ross used to play football with people I knew in 2019 but got back in contact again in 2021 where we went a drive and Ross was so nervous he drove us to Troon and I thought I was being kidnapped cause he didn’t tell me where we were going haha.

Ross proposed when we were out with friends his best man and my bridesmaid. Ross’ best man Gerard showed me a picture on his phone of his and Ashley’s daughter Ella holding a sign saying will you marry uncle Ross and I turned round to look at Ross and he had the ring out.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

The colour palette for our wedding was sage green, pale pink and white we also had touches of Harry Potter theme such as the table names and name plates.

What made you decide upon your chosen venue?

Myself and Ross were out in the car (before we were even engaged) and drove past Boclair and I turned to Ross and said we’re going to get married there I love it.

Tell us about your wedding

Our wedding truly was perfect everything on the day went amazingly from getting ready in the morning to our last dance everything went without a hitch. Everyone said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to and the dancefloor was never empty.

What was the most memorable moment?

The most memorable moment was walking down the aisle and seeing Ross who has told me since we booked the wedding over two years ago that he wouldn’t cry and he was actually sobbing.

Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Sophia Grace Couture?

Advice I would give to any future brides visiting Sophia grace is relax and enjoy the experience the girls are experts and you are in great hands. I didn’t think I would ever have the “this is my dress” moment but I definitely did and it was so special. Try on every style of dress even if you don’t think you’ll like it.
