Wedding of Lauren and Ben

How did you find out about Sophia Grace Couture?

I spent a lot of time researching boutiques in the central belt. I had a feeling that Sophia Grace would have some styles that I would love, and I wasn’t wrong!

How would you describe your experience at Sophia Grace Couture?

In all honesty, Hannah was incredible. This was by far the best experience I had in any bridal boutique (and I’d been to a few!!!!) I wasn’t rushed, there was no pressure. The space is beautiful, and I felt very at ease.

Tell us about your dress and why you choose your particular gown

My dress was Zavana Couture. I actually tried it on for the ‘lol’ as I never thought I would feel comfortable in a dress like it. But lo and behold, I couldn’t see anything else once I had tried it on. It was meant to be.

How did you meet?  Are you happy to tell us about the proposal?

We met online... very 21st century of us! Our proposal was everything I could ever have wished for. We were in my hometown, at the beach where I have spent years of my life and Ben proposed to me by the water, holding our (nearly) 1 year old in his arms.

What was your inspiration for your wedding?  Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

The venue we had used sage green themes throughout, so it felt like an easy decision to use as the palette.

What made you decide upon your chosen venue?

I fell in love with it as soon as I arrived. It is a relatively new venue so the fact nobody else I knew had had their wedding there was a bonus. The newly renovated steading had modern features but kept its rustic charm. The décor, space and environment really is 5 star.

Tell us about your wedding

It was the most magical day of my life. We were lucky enough to have the venue for the weekend so staying with our nearest and dearest for two nights was incredibly special. We wanted our wedding to be fun, full of love, booze and good food and I think it lived up to that!

What was the most memorable moment?

Oh, I really couldn’t decide. Our celebrant made our ceremony incredibly personal and there were lots of laughs, and tears, which I will remember forever. I think walking out of the ceremony room, holding my husband's hand was the most incredible moment ever.

Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Sophia Grace Couture?

Take your time, enjoy the moment and do what is right for you and your husband-to-be.
