How did you find out about Sophia Grace Couture?

I followed Enzoani and Calla Blanche as I liked their style of gowns, so I checked to see who stocked them in Scotland and came across Sophia Grace Couture! I then started following them on Instagram.

How would you describe your experience at Sophia Grace Couture?

I knew from the minute I saw their page that I wanted to book an appointment with Sophia Grace. The boutique was so beautiful and welcoming and had lots of dresses I liked. I booked the VIP experience and from the moment we arrived I loved every second of it. Ines was so friendly and helpful throughout both my appointments. It was so relaxing, and I didn’t feel rushed at all. This was the best experience I could have imagined when looking for my wedding dress.

Tell us about your dress and why you choose your particular gown

Before my appointment I saw they had posted the Raquel gown by Enzoani which was my favourite although I liked quite a lot of the Calla Blanche gowns. At my appointment I tried on all the dresses I liked but knew Raquel was the one. She was everything I wanted in a dress, some lace, mermaid fit, with a big train and the sparkles were a bonus!

How did you meet? Are you happy to tell us about the proposal?

We met on a dating app in August 2019 and after a week of messaging we met at Champagne Central in Glasgow. On the 15th July 2022 he proposed on our hotel balcony in Sorrento. Even though everyone else expected it, I was actually very surprised, it was so special, and he picked the perfect ring for me.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

I always imagined having my maid of honour in a peach, so our colour pallet was soft summer vibes, mostly peach and ivory with some blush. We didn’t have a specific them I just wanted it to be elegant during the day, and a party at night.

What made you decide upon your chosen venue?

I always wanted to get married in a castle type venue. My friend told me about Kinmount House and when we saw it, we just knew we had to get married there. The house and the grounds are so beautiful and have plenty of perfect spots for photos.

Tell us about your wedding

It was the perfect day. The rain stayed off and the sun came out. We had a string trio for the ceremony and drinks reception. We got married under the canopy in the gardens and had the reception between the house and the Italian gardens. We booked the band Groove Culture for the evening and the dancefloor was never empty! It was the best day/night of our lives surrounded by our friends and family.

What was the most memorable moment?

After dinner we got driven off in a buggy and headed over to the bathing house for some pictures. It was so romantic looking at Kinmount in the distance as the sun was setting. It was a special moment.

Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Sophia Grace Couture?

Enjoy every second of it and try on different styles! I wish I could do it all again!
