We absolutely adore Borthwick Castle so when our bridal collection arrived from Demetrios we couldn’t think of a better venue for a photo-shoot to showcase these dramatic wedding dresses.
Borthwick Castle is one of Scotland’s most majestic and historic venues. Built in 1430, it’s played host to many a famous guest over the years – including Mary Queen of Scots!
The castle is looking fabulous thanks to an amazing refurbishment in 2013 which includes upgraded facilities and lavish furnishings.
On the day we shot two wedding dresses from Demetrios, a stunning lace ball gown, which features a Bardot neckline, beautiful lace and a spectacular long train, if you want to create a dramatic entrance then this is the gown to have! Our second choice was a show stopping lace fit and flare gown with gorgeous bell sleeves, intricate lace, illusion back and again dramatic train.
We were delighted to work with amazing suppliers, aka our ‘dream team’ on this spectacular shoot and we are sure you will agree these images are just stunning.
Helen from City Brides worked her magic on our favourite model, Rosalind Main from Superior Model Management and created two different looks for both gowns. Derek Christie grabbed every opportunity to get creative and captured Rosalind and our gowns perfectly. There were so many stunning photographs and lots of ooh’s and ahh’s when we looked through the images, however these are our absolute favourites.
Sweetpeas floristry, what can we say, we gave Ruth a very rough brief and the creations she brought were just spot on. After the photo-shoot we brought all the flowers back to the boutique where not only was the smell divine the blooms lasted for another ten days.
Thank you to Jenny Blossom Jewellery who provided the perfect jewellery which complimented both gowns perfectly.
